The following is a CD review for releases about which I'm very enthusiastic. I'm not connected in any way with the issuing record company and am not receiving any payments for this review.
The first three CD's in a planned 15-CD collection from CandyStore Records titled "The Music of The Saint: 1980-1988" were released during the summer. I first learned about them on this website and I ordered them. Here are details:

Voyage -- SOUVENIRS (6:29)
John Paul Young -- LOVE IS IN THE AIR (5:13)
Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr-- SHINE ON SILVER MOON (7:15)

The Raes -- DON'T TURN AROUND (5:23)
Terry Iten -- WHAT A NIGHT (6:42)
Area Code (212) -- MANHATTAN SHUFFLE (6:02)
GOOD: Incredible selection of tracks, some never before on CD, all tracks remastered, crystal clear sound, full-length original 12" versions...and it's all legal: tracks have been licensed and royalties have been paid.
BAD: Some tracks from the original 12" vinyl singles rather than master tapes (if you're a purist, take note), some songs have appeared on CD elsewhere before. You might need to invest in new headphones...there's so much digital info on some tracks (Shine On Silver Moon, for example, due to its many many layers of instruments), that "cheap" headphones will distort the sound: I speak from experience. :-)
These CD's can only be obtained directly from CandyStore Records at www.candystorerecords.com. They're priced the same as store-bought CD's and shipping is fast. Website is undergoing a makeover at this time, but the guys in charge communicate very well and respond to email inquiries very quickly.
Sorry if I sound like a hired promo person, but I'm not. I'm just an enthusiastic fan.

oh yea I remember that website now. None of us bought the CD and that company was sued at one time because it said it was "Saint" Music. Later after the Saint At Large sued them they took their reference to the Saint off the CD and none of us purchaed the CDs.
I wish one of us had bought them. FD, did you buy any of that collection ?
Actually, The Cd Is Still Around Under The Name Of Mighty Real- The Dance Music Of 1980 And 1988.
I Think That Much Of It Was From Djs At The Saint.
The Guy That Remastered All The Songs Has A Great Reputation.
Go To The Site For Candystore Records.

Reason: SPELLING MISTAKE
Actually, I DID buy one of the CD's from them before the whole legal issue. I have the Morning Music CD, with the original label that says "Music of the Saint." As someone pointed out, they are all now labeled "Mighty Real" or something to that effect.
The music is great, but a warning...it is not mixed. Just remasteres of the original 12" versions.
